Message From inmate
Benjamin Durham # 22209-053 |
|
I'm sending this message out to everyone and anyone who would
like to help me come up with a plan of action that will start making
changes in our communities.
I'm calling on all those who would like to come together and make a
change that will benefit our people throughout our communities.
These changes will only happen if we come together for common purpose.
We want to get all the ex-offenders who have felonies, we want to get
men and women in prison to be part of this change. We want to get
anyone who finds it hard to get a decent paying job, anyone with skills
and experience to also get involved to help make this vision become a
reality. The main purpose for coming together is to find a way to
create jobs for the many men and women who want to help solve the
problem with the high rate of unemployment. I'm calling on all
those who have street knowledge or book knowledge which could be used to
formulate a detailed plan of action to help create jobs.
I believe it will be best to use a non-profit organization to make this
happen. The men and women in prison can not be part of the
for-profit business while still in prison. However, we can donate
money to a non-profit organization which will help carry out this
mission. I believe many men and will see the need to be a member
of this non-profit organization if we put together a program to help
them get employment once they leave prison. I believe this will be
a great way to actually start doing something for ourselves instead of
waiting for someone else to do it for us. Unity is power. We
could change our circumstances instantly once we come together for a
common cause. In conclusion, I would like to hear from anyone who
has an idea or suggestions of how we could make this happen. The
time is now. We are in great need of a "change".
I look forward to hearing from you. I thank you for visiting my
webpage and taking the time to read my message.
"Peace and Love"
Benny
P.S. The first business we have to
donate 10% of profits to this cause is Ms. Anns' Place at :
