Message From inmate
Byron K. Hymes
# 30752-039 |
|
My name is Byron Hymes and I am
from Shreveport, Louisiana. I have lived in many cities including
Atlanta, Georgia, Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan. I am
currently incarcerated in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. I am a
very outgoing and goal oriented person. I have always been the
type that looks to turn negative situations into something positive.
I constantly look for ways to improve myself daily-mentally, physically
and spiritually. I am health conscience and very knowledgeable
about exercise physiology and good nutrition. I take pride in my
physical appearance and good health. I am looking to correspond
with someone that is goal oriented and business minded. I look
forward to communicating and networking with individuals who have big
dreams and ideas that they want to bring to reality. I have
extensive entrepreneurial and sales experience that I am willing to
share. I also look forward to learning from others. I am a
humorous person and I truly believe in the old saying: "You have to
laugh at life or life will laugh at you".
I never imagined that I would ever be incarcerated. I blame no one
but self. I have met some of the most talented and intelligent
people in my life since I have been incarcerated. I have learned
that everybody locked up is not bad. I came from a middle class
family that provided my every need and many of my wants. I
attended college at Louisiana State University. I enrolled in the
LA National Guard and served in Operation Desert Storm and still, I was
not able to circumvent the diabolic walls of the Federal Bureau of
Prisons, a system that is incarcerating black men at an astounding rate.
How can blacks be only 13% of the total U.S. population and almost 50%
of prison population? Can anyone answer that question? This
is a serious problem that no one seems to have the answer to. It's
bigger than me.
Sincerely,
BIG
