Message From inmate

Hey Everyone,
Wow, can
you believe it's been 16 years now? Some of you may have
forgotten about me, but with "time on my hands" I've thought of
everyone often. I know life has gone on without me.
Still I long for the day I can feel the grass under my bare feet
again, sip pink lemonade under a shade tree, and enjoy road
trips to the beautiful mountains, fields, and waterways I've
missed for too long. Mostly, I miss the companionship of
friends and loved ones, sincere laughter and smiles. But
let's not forget... THE FOOD!! All these years at hotel T.D.C.J. and good food is only in my mind. I love to cook
and bake, I was deemed a "domestic goddess" by a poll in Cosmo
once upon a time. (Can't argue with Cosmo.)
Family remains important to me and despite not having the
opportunities I'd have liked to be close while the little ones
grew up with out me and mom needed me around. I've come up
with lot's of things to do once we are together again.
If I could go back and do it again... oh how I would not have made
that fateful "Wrong Turn at the wrong time with the wrong guy at
the wrong place." (Is there really a right kind of guy?)
The harsh realities of prison have ruined any hopes of having a
fairy tale life- but it hasn't been all that bad. I'm most
of proud of earning a college degree... I have plans for a
positive future and hope you are all in it! I've made a
few good friends along the way too God Bless them for their
support and faith in me. I've never stopped dreaming of a
good life, of friends and family to share it with. Please
let me know what's going on out there. Send photos, e-mail
me. A girl can never have too many friends.
XO Ma Lisa
