For
many years I have stumbled blindly in the darkness, making many
irregular steps, many deviations from the true path, not knowing
where I was going. After many trials, tribulations and
adversities, incident to human life, I have been chastened and
refined by experience. No longer desiring to remain in the
dark wilderness of the west, I've chosen to begin a life long
journey to the larger life that lies in the light of the eternal
ease.
Indeed at my birth, the foundation-stone was duly and truly laid and
implanted within me. I now recognize that I've been
charged to develop it; to create a superstructure upon it; and
I've dedicated myself to this work.
Being aware of the dual paths of life open to me, I turn my back to the
wilderness from which I came and proceed towards that perpetual
light that lies in the east. I pray that I will be
granted the strength to continue traveling along this path; and
although at many times I become weary and find it easy to
relapse into ignorance and obscurity; I pray there will continue
to be aid and refreshment amongst the brothers, fellows and
sisters who also journey along an Easternaly course.
