I was born, raised, and
convicted in Flint, Michigan. I am single and
the
father of one
beloved
daughter. I was incarcerated at the age of
19
and
have
been for the past 18 years. During my confinement, I
have acquired my G.E.D. diploma, a Small Business certificate, a
certificate in the studies of English Literature via Saginaw
Valley State University, as well as a Custodial Maintenance
certificate. I attended Jackson Community College studying
Marketing
and
Paralegal Courses, but for reasons beyond my control, I was
transferred prior to completion. I was also in a Food Technician
Class studying Culinary Arts, but again was transferred prior to
completion.
As you very well
know, prison denies a man of all things he once took for
granted: simple wants, actual needs, as well as natural desires. Add the fact that time has its way of severing communications
with family, friends, associates, and peers. I mention these
things in the hopes that you perceive me not as a con with a
scheme or hidden agenda, but simply-- an incarcerated man seeking
to
fill
voids in
my life.
Of all the many things you
could
possibly be doing in the world right now, of all the many people
you could
be
with,
and of all the places you could be, you have chosen to spend a few
precious moments with me, right here, right now. I am not only
flattered, but truly appreciative to have had you sit here
attentively as I have shared pieces of my life with you.
In closing, I
only hope that the next few moments guide you towards the act of
intercommunication (via email or postal mail ) , in which you
share facets of yourself with me, and perhaps a photo or two. Please
acknowledge that your acquaintanceship is anxiously awaited.
