Message From inmate Shawn E. Gardner # 291-181
A little about myself, I'm a proud parent who's children mean the world too. I do and always will do anything to put smiles on their faces. They are my motivation to study and learn higher knowledge of the law to get back out there to them. I'm a strong believer that a man is an individual molds his own character, masters his own will, directs his own life, and shapes his own ends.
That being said, I have a few goals that I'm achieving while I continue to get free-receive my degree by finishing my paralegal correspondence course. Helping youth uptown understand that a young man or women achievements or family to achieve is a direct result of his or her own thoughts and actions. More so there is another option then the "street life".
As for the ones who are already doing time, rather large or small is to get them to put freedom over everything. So instead of fighting among yourselves and participating in "prison yard" politics, fight a real fight for freedom. Once free I want to become a successful entrepreneur by starting my own internet business and other business ventures I'm researching at this time. I like to ride dirt bikes, jet skis, race go-carts, and sometimes go to night clubs with close friends. In my spare time
I love to read good books.
Me as a man living with the highest moral and ethical standards possible, I expect the same from all that I allow in my presence. Especially now being that those you surround yourself with "are the same ones that can help you swim but would rather watch you drown." I'm a firm believer that a man or women must live with integrity, loyalty, honor, and respect. Not just for themselves but for the ones they call friends and loved ones.
There are only a hand full of men and women that live with morals and principles left that still "stand up"
So no matter what my circumstances is I'll continue to stand on my own two feet (never knees in the dirt). When it comes to what I stand for I have an unyielding faith while moving steadily towards my intentions, all that threatens me along the way will go into hiding or be revealed as the imposters they are. I will persist until I succeed. I was not delivered into this world into defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I'm not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk or sleep with sheep. The slaughter house of failure is not my destiny. I will persist until I succeed.
